Set in the place of the former Junterones Palace
It shows, in an interactive way, 2000 years of the city's history, from the first prehistoric settlements to today. Guided tours on prior request.

Fine Arts Museum

Spanish paintings from the 16th to the 20th century, prestigious artists both from this and other regions.

Salzillo Museum

Holds the most important processional religious images by the world-famous wood carver, Francisco Salzillo.
Original sketches and 550 Christmas Crib figures, and also the famous platforms bearing groups of life-size Biblical figures carried down the streets on the shoulders of the faithful in Holy Week ("pasos"): Good Friday's Salzillo procession.

Science and Water Museum

With water as its main theme, it also has a children's planetarium, Science square, perception modules, temporary and thematic exhibitions.

Ramón Gayaa Museum

Set in a beautiful mansion, the Palarea house, it holds the works of one of the best contemporary Murcian artists: Ramon Gaya. Sketches, posters, writings and an anthological selection of both Gaya's and other artists' work.

Archeological Museum

Exhibits from the best archeological sites in the Region. Burial artefacts, pottery and tools from the culture, iberian collections.

"Los Molinos del Río" irrigation Museum

It holds the largest flourmill in Spain with all the machinery and equipment used for flour milling as well as rooms for temporary exhibitions.

Bullfighting Museum of Murcia

Founded in 1919, it contains posters, bullfighter's costumes and utensils. It also has a specialist library and video collection.

A permanent exhibition of the works of the "Cofradía de la Preciosísima Sangre" (Most precious blood of Christ), with sculptures by Nicolás de Bussy and Roque López among others.

San Juan de Dios Church

18th century church taken over as a museum. Permanent exhibition of religious imagery from the 16th to the 19th centuries. Wood-carvings from various schools.

Almudi Palace Arts Centre

Housed in an 18th century building originally the city's corn store, the local Arts centre has two exhibition halls. The town'' historical archives are to be found there too.

Regional Craft Centre
Actor Francisco Rabal, 8
The local Murcian architect Juan Antonio Molina has designed a modern purpose-built hall which is beautifully finished so that the most outstanding work of craftsmen from all over the Region of Murcia can be on permanent display. Handwork is also on sale.
